Amy Didden, LCSW       144 Kings Highway Suite 303, Dover, DE 19901       302-231-2312

In 1997, I graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with an undergraduate degree in clinical psychology.  During college, I volunteered on the university’s peer hotline and in a domestic violence shelter.  In 1999, I graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work.

I have been a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Delaware since 2002, and have worked in a variety of outpatient and intensive outpatient mental health settings.  After having two children and recognizing the unique challenges of the transition to parenthood, I decided to open my practice focused on postpartum adjustment in 2011.  More recently, I have opened my practice to seeing women across the lifespan to address healing at different stages of a woman's life.  I utilize interventions based on positive neuroplasticty, Parts work, and EMDR.  I have a special interest in how mindfulness skills can be used to deal with the stresses of parenthood, and never underestimate the power of laughter, pets, and the great outdoors.

I helped to found the Delaware Chapter of Postpartum Support International and went on to serve as Chapter Secretary and Chair.  I also served for several years as an assistant meeting leader for  Mindfulness Meditation in Dover, a former meditation community in Dover.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to do work that is meaningful to me.  I feel honored to be part of the healing process with the women who share their stories with me.
