In 1997, I graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with an undergraduate degree in clinical psychology.  During college, I volunteered on the university‚Äôs peer hotline and in a domestic violence shelter.  In 1999, I graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work.

I have been a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Delaware since 2002, and have worked in a variety of outpatient and intensive outpatient mental health settings.  After having two children and recognizing the unique challenges of the transition to parenthood, I decided to focus my career on helping other moms.   I earned certificates in the treatment of perinatal mood disorders from Postpartum Support International and the Postpartum Stress Center and opened my private practice in 2011.

I work to stay current in the field by maintaining my membership in Postpartum Support International and attending related conferences/ trainings.  In my practice, I use a mix of cognitive and behavioral interventions, relationship counseling, and connection to community resources/social support.   I have a special interest in how mindfulness skills can be used to deal with the stresses of parenthood, and serve as a peer facilitator of Mindfulness Meditation group in Dover.  I also have strong interests in laughter, chocolate, and the great outdoors.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to do work that is meaningful to me.  I feel honored to be part of the healing process with the women who share their stories with me.
